  1. As @Gay Obese Ginger said, some really nice and cool people left. Most of you today can't remember, but we did use to host very different people than we do now, including some that did not wanna even curse, yet were very, very popular and beloved by all (Odin). Ppl who used to hang out here were also much older and diverse which made the whole community feel like it was much larger (even though it was comparatively smaller than it is now). Example given: Pyrexx. Those who knew him knew he used to have some issues in the past and was very upfront about it and used to talk about how he handled it. He was very respected that when he got his niece over with him one time and asked people not to curse, a server full, about 30 people, simply did not cuss for about 30 minutes while she was there with him in the room. Stuff like that is unimaginable right now because people here are just not that tight with each other. And how could you be tight with demographics that is mostly 15 year olds who have, in last 5 years of their online life, learned the WRONG type of fun behavior. We used to have like Asian Jesus and Cali and ppl like them (all in their 20s now) and they deffo weren't PC. But their type of humor wasn't PUSH THE LIMITS ALL THE TIME CALL EVERYONE A NIGGER LMAO THAT'S SO FUNNY MAYBE I SHOULD YELL IT HARDER AND IT WILL MAKE IT FUNNIER. Using those taboo words was about timing, meaning if you used the N/F word at the right time you might elicit the most laughs simply because it was bizzare, at the time, to hear that word all of a sudden. None of those people would actually use the word IRL and none of them actually thought of minorities (sexual, religious, racial) as inferior. About the same time this type of humor devolved in to yelling nigger / faggot on mic is about the same time /pol/ opened on 4chan and everything started to be political, some (imho) bad hombres wanted to turn "edgy but fun" internet lingo in to desentisized and un-ironic repeating of the same words so they would stop being taboo. (if you're actually interested in this topic, there's a fun book called Kill all normies and if you want .epub version, hit me up). TLDR: CSGO started dying a year ago, Internet culture changed 2.5 years ago (which meant that some really nice people just found the humor became obnoxious, instead of fun and edgy and left, myself partially included), SG in the meanwhile grew so much the bond between people disolved which made them feel more free to leave. All that nicely exploded during offline hours when we got taken out and started bleeding the server. Then when the nice people left, mostly people who didn't understand what was so funny about timed edgy humor stayed and they were just your good old fashioned bullies. They were then kicked and the leadership (myself included) was incapable of forming a new and improved version of the rules which would protect players properly. Then the rest of the good ppl just kinda drifted off while the leadership sat with their thumbs up their ass (myself included) EDIT: Also remember, we've had people who were pushing the limits of CSGO. @darkness himself built TTT and Trade, both of which are now most popular gamemodes in casual. The dude, that we hosted, actually built that and it became hugely popular and we did have the edge among all other gaming communities in CSGO. And all of that was at the time that most of the fun people left, we had the chance to make stuff right. We just had inept leadership (myself included) that didn't see it. We've had so much fun playing his game modes, such as hide and seek, and @Lupus was actually pretty boss at it. Might just be a good time to let this community die a slow death. Not intervene too much, keep going what you're doing and just let it kinda die. I don't think we can get back the right people to do the right job, eventho all the fun people that left still play CSGO.
  2. The curse of staffdom continues

  5. He's the biggest youtuber, we can stop pretending this isn't a big deal in internet culture now. He's rich after, yeah, but who will ever wanna associate with him.
  6. should close the thread the dude deleted the video
  7. Honest question, aren't Chuck Taylors the best for that kinda thing? I train in my Chucks because they have flat bottom which helps shift focus from feet to all the proper muscles. Sure it hurts first week but after that the muscles themselves grow and adapt and then you can run longer without getting muscle fatigue. Before I started training in chucks I couldn't do 5x8 on squat or DL because my lats and lower back had to do most of the work since quads and hamstring weren't activating enough. For running I also use them since it shifts focus through both heads of calves nicely and doesn't all end up on the front head causing it to start hurting after a while.
