Admin Rules & Procedures:

Actions to take with rule breakers:
If a player breaks any rules while playing on our servers, follow this process in dealing with them.
  1. Warn - Tell them what they are doing wrong and how to fix it.
  2. Kick - After warning, if they persist kick the player with a message explaining why.
  3. 1-Day Ban
  4. 1-Week Ban
  5. Permanent Ban

Actions specific for JailBreak:
If a player is freekilling / baiting / gun planting an admin should:
  1. Warn - Explain what they are doing wrong and the rules they are breaking
  2. Slay / Timed CTBan - If they ignore your warning and continue, either slay them or place a timed CTBan on the player.
  3. Permanent CTBan - After above actions, place a permanent CTBan.
Be sure to watch console for damage from DamageTracker and button presses / vent breaks.

*NOTE: If a player mass freekills (3 or more) Terrorists, CTBan them without a warning.

Admin Commands:
For any commands you have three options to execute them. You can use the admin menu*, type commands in chat, or type commands in console. When typing commands in console, all commands are preceded by "sm_" and when typing commands in chat they are preceded by either a "!" or a "/".  If you use a "!" before your commands, the typed commands will show up in the chat box, but using a "/" will hide the typed commands. (A console-generated notice that you have executed a command will always show in the chat box)

*To access the admin menu type /admin or !admin in chat.  You can also bind the admin menu to a key for quick access. To do this type the following in console:
bind key sm_admin
**When targeting certain people with commands, you will use the player name or a group name.  Group names are preceded with an @ symbol (i.e. @all @ct @t @spec). Player names are not preceded by a symbol and you don't have to type the whole player name, only a unique part of the name without spaces. (If two players have the same name or too similar of a name, you will need to use the admin menu to target them)
***The admin menu has more options than typed commands.

Getting Player Information:
If you need to obtain a player's Steam ID or see what players are currently connected to the server. Go to console and type:
status
Doing this will give you the proper information for all players, and also make it easier to tell the difference between two players who are using the same name.  This also makes it easy to combat a person who is using a name change script.  You can easily find and target their Steam ID. If you are applying for admin tell us your favorite CS:GO skin at the end of your answer to the why we should consider you for admin question.

General Admin Commands:
  • Admin chat: in all chat type @ message
  • Send message to admins: in team chat type @ message
  • Alert box message: @@@ message
  • Private message to player: @@ player message

Player targeted commands: Do not use brackets, they are only there to show options and spacing. Read more on targeting here
  • Ban: /ban [player] [minutes in integers] [reason] (one day is 1440 minutes)
  • CTBan: /ctban [player] [time in minutes] (time must be served ALIVE as a T, so keep that in mind)
  • CTBan Offline (CTBan someone who is offline): /ctban_offine [steamID]
  • CTBan player after they left: /rageban (this brings up a menu of recently disconnected players to permanently CTBan)
  • CTBan Status: /isbanned [player]
  • Gag: /gag [player] [time]
  • Kick: /kick [player] [reason]
  • Mute: /mute [player] [time]
  • Slay: /slay [player]
  • Unban: /unban [steamID] (never unban someone who was NOT banned by you, and if you need someone unbanned find them on the sourceban page and post in the "Petition a Ban" section)
  • UnCTBan: /unctban [player] OR /removectban [player]
  • UnCTBan offline (Remove a CTBan on a player who is offline): /removectban_offline [steamID]
  • UnGag: /ungag [player]
  • UnMute: /unmute [player]
  • UnPermanently Mute, Gag, or Silence: /punmute [player], /pungag [player], /punsilence [player]
  • Who: /who [player] (gives you information about the player)

Jail Break:

  • Mic Check: /mc [player]. Send 2 messages to their chat telling them that an admin has issued a mic check on them and that they must speak audibly so an admin can hear them to avoid being swapped to Prisoners. The command will ignore Prisoners so you can still use @All and @CT to do a mass mic check on the Guards.

  • Freeday Manager: !freedays. Brings up a menu for Granting and Revoking freedays. This is uses the same system as the one I made for the Warden Menu so there won't be any loss of synchronization between being marked as having a freeday and having a beacon. When an admin uses any of these commands it will say ADMIN: <AdminName> instead of <WardenName> in the chat notification.

  • MFK Respawn: sm_mfkres <playerName>. Can only target 1 player at a time. All of the target's recent victims (died less than 15 seconds ago) that are still on the Prisoners side will be respawned right where they died. Valid triggers: sm_mfkres  | sm_mfkrespawn | sm_mfkr | !mfkres | /mfkres. Here is an entire thread explaining how to use this: http://www.slayersgaming.com/index.php?/topic/8597-mfk-respawn/
Trouble In Terrorist Town:
This is a more less a port of the ulx slaynr command from Garry's Mod TTT aside from the !pslaynr menu. If  a player has any pending slays on them they will be slayed the next time they spawn and recieve a message in chat [sM] You were marked to be slain by an admin. This uses the clientprefs system so there won't be any issue of players leaving and joining back in an attempt to remove their pending slays. Overall, the main purpose of this command is to decrease the amount of banning admins do. For example instead of banning a player for RDM'ing 3 players, you can just mark them to be slayed for 5 rounds.
  • !slaynr <#userid|name> <rounds> - Mark a player to be slayed for X amount of rounds.
  • !rslaynr <#userid|name> <rounds> - Remove X amount of slays from a player.
  • !pslaynr - Display a menu that lists all in game players that have pending slays. This command is available to all players.

Could add that to easily get a list of Steam IDs, type in Status in console. Shows all players in game and their IDs. Also is there anyway you could also make it so there was a rageban version for actual banning? Sometimes those fucking hackers join, aimbot freekill everyone and then immediately disconnect and sm_ban doesn't work for people not in the server.

It came to my attention last night that a lot of admins don't know how to catch people who use bots to change their names to make it look similar to the other people in game. Yesterday one guy came in and changed his name to another player and started to mass freekill and one of the other admins there accidentally ended banning another player.

Certain letters in game look like other letters and this is how they end up making themselves look like someone else. For example Lcpl. Furry looks like Lcpi. Furry in game. I don't think even the admin menu distinguishes between the letters and can cause an easy fuck up.

To rectify this if someone does something similar please do the following so we don't end up banning innocents.

Command: Status

What it does: Shows you a list of player names and their Steam IDs. In console it is easy to distinguish between letters like I and L.

Original Post is now updated.

More commands listed, information more concise and thorough, and everything should be easier to read.

Let me know if there is anything I missed, or anything else that needs to be added.
